Jing; The Source Of Core Energy with Mason Taylor (EP#166)

In today's episode, Mason discusses his personal story with the Jing herbs (how they changed his journey) and how the 30 days of JING challenge can transform your month, year, and (as an annual event)-the trajectory of your life. Mason dives deep into the esoteric waters of Kidney energy from a Taoist perspective and explains why 30 Days of JING, more than quitting coffee, is about creating an intention that will deepen your relationship with yourself and your Jing Essence through foundational lifestyle practices.

If there is one thing the western lifestyle is exceptional at cultivating- it's EXCESS ...

The fast pace, busy busy busy, high-stress western lifestyles many of us live, has us on the hamster wheel of always 'doing' and simultaneously always trying to cope with how much we're doing. In an attempt to handle (or survive) these obligatory motions of the daily grind, we reach for our beloved vices- coffee, sugar, meditation, alcohol, exercise, sex, Netflix, shopping, doom scrolling (you get the picture) to alleviate the stress and lighten the load. The more stressed we are, the more we tend to reach for a vice in an attempt to cope. Not such a bad thing if your vice is conducive to good health- but for many, it tends to be the quick fix, like a coffee at 7:30, on route to school drop off and work, while mulling over your endless 'to-do' list for the day.

Coffee is in the top ten most consumed legal addictive stimulants globally- humans LOVE to consume coffee. Sadly, our kidneys and adrenals do not. Caffeine, alcohol, and a high-stress lifestyle, all excessively deplete our core energy- our Jing Essence, which is stored within the Kidneys. The amount of Jing energy one has stored in their kidneys is indicative of; Lifespan, immune system, and one's ability to cope with stress without reaching for a stimulant.

Enter 30 days of JING. As many of our SuperFeast community know, the 30 days of JING challenge is an annual opportunity to get off the stimulants and rejuvenate Kidney and adrenal Essence so you can begin regaining the zest in your step that was once so familiar.

"The challenge is- let's continue to deepen our relationship with, say, the herb of coffee with cocoa, with us, going and moving towards having a tonic at some time of day habitually, with our Jing essence in itself. Let's see what happens when we get off that extreme Yang energy of something like caffeine and we just let ourselves sit and have a relationship with herbs, Jing herbs, that move in and bring a flow to that Yin and Yang rhythm of Qi; that transformation cycle. That leads to us actually creating some space where we can start to get a sense of and feel our Jing".

Mason: (00:00)

Hello, beautiful people. Welcome to the podcast.

Mason: (00:01)

Today, I'm going to be talking about 30 Days of Jing, but I'm going to be talking about so much more than that. It's interesting. This 30 Days of Jing Challenge, I feel like it's a weird thing because challenges just feel so lame, for lack of a better word, especially when the intention behind initiating what this community coming together is and coming together and including Jing herbs; which we're going to explain a little bit more; in our lives, in our lifestyle flow, and in our rhythm, and feeling the benefits cultivate, and feeling the transformation happen. Likewise, looking at what that thing is in our life.

Mason: (00:50)

For a lot of people, it's coffee. That's why we revolve around that because it's the most accessible, but even cacao use. Anything that is becoming excessive, because whatever it is that is excessive in your life is the thing that generally leads to the foundations being askew. When your foundations are askew, that's when that lifestyle rhythm... You aren't in flow with the rhythm of what your chi and your body wants, in alignment with the elements around you, with the season around you. At least to the best of your ability, you start to see yourself tilting over to being out of rhythm, out of a sustainable way of living.

Mason: (01:28)

Essentially what happens is you start getting out of rhythm in a Daoist term from moving towards your destiny in a way that's really... The song and dance of your internal chi is in rhythm with your ultimate intention in life. That's what I'm thinking about when I'm thinking about 30 Days of Jing and this opportunity.

Mason: (01:48)

We just got everyone looking at getting off the coffee or looking at those sleep practises that weren't working for them; just really thinking about your foundation and adding in the Jing herbs, which are the herbs of foundation. They bring that flow, especially to the kidney water system and especially to then the child of the kidneys, the liverwort system. What you see when that happens, especially those elements and a smidge of spleen soil element being smooth, they represent the flow of yin yang through those organ systems.

Mason: (02:26)

When those get tightened up and in rhythm with those Jing herbs, what happens is then the Jing essence of your body, which is a big collection of energies. It's your bone health. It's your joint health. It's your general willingness to get up and take weight on your self and charge on a life. That's more your [inaudible 00:02:48], which I'll get to. That's the fourth treasure, especially.

Mason: (02:51)

The Jing is your ability to have stamina. You have that energy to get up, that tenacity, that resilientness to get up and keep on moving towards the manifestation of the life you want, which is a beautiful part of Daoism, because it's like, what do you want? There's no expectations about what you should be doing, the way you should be acting. There is such a personal yet universal intention of how you would wish to you'd like yourself to express and there's an awareness in Daoism. It takes absolute decades, an entire lifetime, just to develop a further relationship with it; the way that we can find that we're in flow sometimes on a day to day level going towards that destiny or that potentiation.

Mason: (03:42)

Let's take away any of that wording, which some people will be like, "Mm, I don't like that." Someone's just mentioned Dharma on the, on the Instagram flow. Yeah. I was a yoga teacher, but I don't use that terminology because I don't have as intimate a relationship with what it means at its essence. But yes, from what I could understand of it, yeah. All these words just circle around something that is just real and truthful for each of us. For some people, they might not like that language. I just think it's, you get to that later time in life, and you're integrated. The bitterness or the fear hasn't consumed your personality, but what is there is a feeling of accomplishment, sense of love. You have the potential for spontaneous joy to emerge from you. All these things. I'm like, "Ah, that feels successful."

Mason: (04:36)

All of those things rely upon you staying in harmony and staying in rhythm. What happens a lot in our Western society is people get out of rhythm. They get into eternal dependence of institutions. I'm not saying they're bad. I'm not trying to create an against conversation. It's just the pattern that you see at the moment towards pharmaceutical, surgical institutions when we're talking about our health. It's so great that those things exist, but an excess of reliance and that psychology that's gone in, it's like, "I don't really have to worry about my own rhythm. There's always going to be someone or something to catch me down the way." It leads us to having the capacity to get complacent about the foundations of our lifestyle and in relating to our Jing.

Mason: (05:26)

Now remember, our Jing energy, that essence, that bone marrow, that sexual health, that tenacity, that stamina, the foundation. It's like the pilot light of potential. The pilot light of potential. All that genetic potential there within our body. All that Jing essence potential in our body that then the treasurer of Chi comes and animates all of that potential.

Mason: (05:49)

You want to get to the end of your life and make sure that you've got that war chest, that treasure trove, that superannuation, that 401k, I think in America it's called, so that you can really cruise through those later times in life. You're not running on empty. You're not running on empty capacity within your joints and your hips and your bone marrow. Remember, the kidneys that relate to that Jing essence governs that what's known as the operations of your sea of marrow or the brain, as we most likely know it.

Mason: (06:23)

I think about that a lot. I think about those little creating rhythms. I don't like creating one offs. I like creating rhythms in my life that become automated and set me up to having reflective times when I am thinking about... Like right now, I've been just blindly going towards coffee, especially having a newborn in the house. It doesn't actually... Generally, I'm operating anyway without coffee. It's just become a habitual thing, and knowing that I have that July one time when, personally, I'm just going to be like, "Oh, cool. Great. Off. I'm just going to get off that coffee. Get off that caffeine." I'm most likely going to get off cocoa at that time.

Mason: (07:06)

That's what 30 Days of Jing is. What I will be doing is making sure that I'm having a nice big teaspoon of the Jing, or maybe [inaudible 00:07:15], but I'm not feeling like an animal herb right now. I'm feeling like plant herbs, mushroom herbs to really get back that relationship with that... You can have a relationship with the way that your kidney water rhythm is transforming between yin and yang. We've talked about Jing so much in the SuperFeast community that it's probably the most easy one for people to have that relationship with, but remembering the herbs work on the transformation of yin and yang. That is through the five elements system. Element being a poor terminology. The five transitions, five seasons within the body. How well your yin and yang is transforming and how much that is transforming in a way that is reflecting the simple complexity of nature in yourself and your own essence in respecting the various seasons of your own emotions and your own expressions. If that leads to your Jing essence being protected or leaking, or if you can get really dialled in, being cultivated.

Mason: (08:26)

Remember, the three treasures work on... There's that analogy of the candle. The Jing essence being the wax of the candle, and you do only have a certain amount of wax. Eventually, that wax is going to be gone, and you're going to be moving on physically from this life. The flame is the Chi. You can see that animates it. That brings it to life. It lights it up. If your Jing is just... If you are just sitting there just a bunch of potential there, the Chi comes in and, boom, takes that potential and turns it into possibility. What happens from that, the waxier your candle is and the better stuff it's made out of; nice and chunky and mesmerising. You can see the quality of a flame with a bees wax candle versus a really cheap soy candle or some plastic crap candle. From there, the quality of the light coming off, and that's that third treasure, shen, which for me, that's what it's all about.

Mason: (09:23)

In the constitution of SuperFeast, what drives us, sole purpose, critical driver is the support of the graduation for as many people as possible into elderhood, which is very subjective. I don't know what elderhood looks like for most of you, but I know that it's going to take you having capacity which sits within that baseline waxy candle Jing to really move through the trials and the tests and the initiation cycles of life. This has went from a Daoist's perspective; stay in rhythm with life, go through those processes, integrate those processes, get a little bit more knowledge, get a little bit more wisdom, create that encyclopaedia that only you can have and become a rad, shen-cultivated, for lack of a better word, elder.

Mason: (10:17)

That's in the constitution of SuperFeast, so in order for that to happen, we need people to have tenacity, to not be walking on eggshells. When you are on that flow and rhythm where you don't have a really nice, close, intimate relationship with those elements that are closely correlated to your Jing treasure energy; which is a kidney water liver, liver wood; it's a beautiful time to actually start reflecting on.

Mason: (10:46)

I use the word excess a lot, and I don't love it, because excess is like, "No! Naughty! Don't do that,!" Which isn't how I want to relate to it. When I'm doing something unconsciously, even conscientiously, and I want to develop a relationship, I don't like rules. That's why we don't have a thing in this where it's like, "You are not allowed coffee, everybody!" That's a low quality challenge.

Mason: (11:11)

The challenge is, let's continue to deepen our relationship with, say, the herb of coffee with cocoa, with us going and moving towards having a tonic at some time of day habitually, with our Jing essence in itself. Let's see what happens when we get off that extreme yang energy of something like caffeine and we just let ourselves sit and have a relationship with herbs, Jing herbs, that move in and bring a flow to that yin and yang rhythm of Chi; that transformation cycle. That leads to us actually creating some space where we can start to get a sense of a feel of our Jing energy.

Mason: (11:55)

You will feel a different type of energy when you start moving off caffeine, or perhaps someone listening is like, "Caffeine isn't my thing. It's about my..." Maybe it's a fear of something. It comes up. Sometimes it's a fear of the dark, in the sense of... in the fear of preparing for sleep. There's a big distraction cycle that goes on before sleep, but it's still very mind-y. For a lot of people, they're like, "Hey, I'm just going to look at what happens at that, say, 3:00 PM mark, in winter a little bit earlier, where the energy starts to descend. I'm going to just try and have a couple of little rituals; maybe have my Jing during that time and start actually coming down as the yin descends into the day and set myself a little bit better up with first sleep."

Mason: (12:45)

Again, with no rules necessarily, if you are putting a slight amount of intention into these 30 days, and the intention is about coming into a greater relationship with your Jing, with a foundational lifestyle practise, like how you set up for sleep. For women, it might be staying in rhythm with your cycle and going, "Okay. For me, let me see what happens when I don't have a bunch of distraction stuff. Because a foundational aspect of the way you stay rhythm is going through the five seasons or four seasons, if people want to relate in that way, between your cycle.

Mason: (13:22)

For guys, it's going to be a little more Chi based, because women are more regulated by blood, but guys it's going to be regulated by Chi; really conscientiously looking whether you are setting yourself up for success by getting up with the sun and getting a little move on, getting a little sweat on, moving your muscle. That's relevant for women, as well, but you are going to be more conscientious about that moon cycle, rather than the guys in the Chi be more based in that chi cycle. Maybe that's where your attention is. You have that attention of a foundational lifestyle aspect, hopefully without the distraction from that thing that you might admit, "I'm doing excessively, or maybe not having as much of a high quality relationship with coffee as I could be." Or my daily tonic, or my sleep, or my exercise, or my hydration, or whatever that is really there.

Mason: (14:12)

We've got 30 days. We're putting Jing herbs into our body every single day and seeing how that works, and also, having just that slight awareness of increasing the quality of that relationship with that, which helps us get into closer communion with that Jing energy. There's people over year after year after year, you're doing this, and you can do this as many times during the year as you want, but when you get to that point where you're doing so many things...

Mason: (14:41)

Just once a year is really nice, and sometimes you do it as a workplace. It's a really good way to do it. You do it with a bunch of friends. You do it with a friend. You do it with the family members. It starts to have this different level of impact because, every time you do it, because there's so much of a correlation to the kidneys here, the kidneys around that stillness and around that darkness.

Mason: (15:06)

To get a little bit into the into that Daoist archetypical zone of the kidneys, we're starting to look at that old Sage energy that's within us. That's that part of us which is really happy just to let go and float, and float down into the darkness of our potential. Part of that is when you let go and you start opening up to the excessive amount of possibility and sometimes the lack of control that we have about where we're going to be, how we're going to end up when we are 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, 50 years down the track.

Mason: (15:49)

That's really what it is for me. This 30 Days of Jing is slowly but surely, in that time period, you start to realise that there's no real system that you are going to be able to externally use in order to be healthy in the future. At some point you've just got to let go into your internal terrain and get a relationship with the energies or with the experiences that you are having and get a hold of them.

Mason: (16:17)

As you let go into that blackness of the water in the kidneys, into that darkness of potential and perpetuity, after a while... Because there's nothing to kick off. There's no, "I'm going to reject Western medical culture and kick off that." There's nothing to kick off. You're into the darkness. "I'm going to use this ideology" or, "this health system" or, "I'm going to use these supplements so that I have strong Jing in the future. I'm going to use SuperFeast Jing herbs, and that way I'm going to be really good in the future." There's nothing to grab onto and kick off.

Mason: (16:51)

After a few years doing the 30 Days of Jing, you start bringing a little bit of meditation into it. You let go, and you've got to be self perpetuating. That happens when you are starting to design and build your lifestyle and your foundational practises based on the rhythm that you can feel and the outcomes that you are producing each year and just throughout your life, in general, which is something just so deeply personal. That's what happens when 30 Days of Jing, as we move through it, a lot of people are just like, "Man, there's just..." You just feel so solid because you experienced something so deeply personal.

Mason: (17:29)

This happens in many wisdom traditions. Me and Tawni have been back and forth a little bit, and she's been sending me a few podcasts just about the darkness practises. Every wisdom culture, every shamanic culture had little dark retreats; doing their psychedelic journeys in the dark. There's just something about that melatonin-inducing darkness that Daoists would have their dark retreats, and I haven't experienced them yet. It's something that Tawni and I want to get over to Dow Garden and experience those with Master Chia, but they're so fundamental to us cultivating a capacity to go through practises that have us experience those extreme dark nights of the soul so we can find something to grab onto internally. Rather than kicking back against things when we're in the light, you learn how to move your way through the darkness of your own potential, which is really fear inducing and shouldn't be necessarily done too soon, but that's the kidney energy. That's what happens.

Mason: (18:33)

At that point, then you start really becoming self perpetuating. You don't rely on these identities. You don't rely on diets, and you don't rely on being attached to particular spiritual practises and all this kind of stuff. That's where you can see those... That's why I talk about ideology so much because those things are just... They're good when you're in those times of light and it's appropriate to be in those sunny yang times. You need something to hold onto to get through this period? Great. At some point, you got to let go and get down into that kidney darkness.

Mason: (19:07)

That's the intention behind the 30 Days of Jing. You can see why I'm like, "This 30 day challenge! Get on the Jing herbs and get off the coffee!" That's a part of the SuperFeast philosophy, though, have been extremely approachable. We need to be approachable for everyone at every echelon of their journey.

Mason: (19:28)

From you guys just hearing this now, I just really wanted you to just get into my world of when I was thinking about this seven years ago, and then six years ago, I think it's six years ago, when we initiated it, this is what I'm thinking about. This is how I'm relating to it at the moment. It fits in with having that dark meditation retreat. That's more of an extreme time when you go and have that practise so that when you go through those experiences of plunging into the dark. The idea from a Daoist's perspective is you do that intentionally so that you don't have to have life manifest those experiences for you so that you have to go through them in a way that's outside of your intention.

Mason: (20:16)

I hope that makes sense. The way the Daoists look at it is the lowest form of doctor is someone who actually ends up causing disease. Next echelon up is someone who treats disease, and then there's the prevention of disease. Then there's a little bit of nuance of language there, but finally, it's that practitioner that helps dissolve... It's not the karmic blockages or the karmic experiences, but helping to initiate a forward thinking way of going through our experiences now so we don't have to karmically go through experiences. We've intentionally created the circumstances and the learning of the lessons so that the body doesn't need to necessarily go through an extremely traumatising event in order to get the lesson.

Mason: (21:07)

I hope that makes sense, but that's where a lot of these wisdom traditions are. That's where they're coming from, and it's that kind of intention that I feel these tonic herbs, again, in the constitution of SuperFeast, is supporting as many people as possible to getting onto this long herb tonic herbal path. It's not just about, "Oh, just get as many people onto these herbs as possible", which would be a really noble thing-ish, but that doesn't have enough intention for myself. It's that long term being on that path, and the reason we don't just get people taking adaptogens is because what you need is that very, very deep foundation of philosophy; very old philosophy.

Mason: (21:55)

It's a philosophy that is open source. Like Daoism is there. If you are willing and able to go and look at the wisdom traditions, there are people very willing to teach you Daoism. It's very self-regulating, in the sense there's enough people out there that can really inform you of whether you are practising a classical nature based form of Daoism while acknowledging that there's many, many, many ways to approach it, or whether you're going down a path of commodified Chinese medicine; which is what happened with TCM in the fifties, and it formally became commodified.

Mason: (22:34)

That's a very important piece for me at SuperFeast is making sure that philosophy is there, because quite often, what's going to happen with doing something as simple as 30 Days of Jing is people are going to feel things. You will feel things. People have felt an incredible, incredible transformation. Some people are just like, "Yeah, that was cool. I can see I'm a little bit more reliant on coffee than I would've liked to of, and I've got a little bit more of a... I'm dialled in a little bit more."

Mason: (23:01)

Let me just have it ironic limb in there. A little sip of my tonic it's got a little bit of caffeine in there.

Mason: (23:05)

Some people really feel something massive shift. That's what happened to me the first time I took Jing herbs. I was at the back of my mom's place and finally found Dì Dào (地道) herbs, put them into a tonic, no caffeine, went and put my kidney points and my bare feet on the grass and drank. I could just feel these herbs immediately entering through my kidney system. I immediately became aware of what this Jing essence is, what this treasure is within my body that's personal to me. General enough that we can talk about it and everyone kind of knows what we're talking about, but really personal me. I'm the one that can feel it. No one else can feel it. No institution can feel it. No doctor can feel it. It is my sovereign responsibility to guard it and to cherish it. That's what Jing herbs taught me, and it completely changed the trajectory of my life. I feel like for the better, I've been having a great time.

Mason: (24:11)

It was like when Harry Potter got to Hogwarts and he was just like, "My God, I was hoping that there was more to this life than just living under the stairs and being abused by my uncle and auntie, and then sure enough, a wizard giant turns up, tells me I'm a wizard. Then I go on this magical train, I'm in this magical castle..." All the other kids are asleep. They're just like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're at Hogwarts now. We're going to..." He's sitting there just going like, "Oh my God, magic is real!"

Mason: (24:41)

That was what the Jing herbs were like for me. The mushrooms gave me a whole experience when I got onto them first about immunity. The Jing herbs, God, they blew open the realm of possibility for me. That's why Daoism is just like magic to me, because it is literal magic grounded into reality. It's so beautiful and so fun. That's what's behind that 30 Days of Jing for me. Take it at your own pace, make it your own experience, jump onto the Facebook group.

Mason: (25:15)

You can go into Facebook and just write "30 Days of Jing" and you'll see the group, join. I think we got over 500 people on there. There's going to be lots of interaction there this year. We're going to be posting heaps of the resources, movement, resources, just people sharing as they go along what's coming up for them. Some people have massive withdrawals from coffee and they want to keep on going. They want to do the Winston Churchill, "When you're going through hell, keep going." Some people are like, "Hey, I don't want to my body to freak out this much." We're like, "Yeah, cool. Don't pull the plug too hard. Just slowly lower the coffee. Maybe don't even get rid of the coffee. Maybe just add the Jing herb" so on and so forth.

Mason: (25:59)

Really great resource there, so make sure you go and join that. In the show notes, you'll be able to go and find the 30 Days of Jing Facebook group. As I said, go and download the PDF. It's on Instagram, it's in the link in bio. It's going to be in the show notes. If you pop over to the resource tab on the website, you're going to be able to get stuck into that PDF. It's going to give you just some little bits and bobs just reminding you stay hydrated. You're like, "Oh, yeah." You get it printed, pop it in your workplace. Go on the hunt. You have no idea how many people have been transformed onto the herbal path through experiencing this challenge, this experience, because it takes away the, "Maybe these herbs work..." People are going far out.

Mason: (26:52)

There is no denying what I experienced, especially when you get off the stimulants and you start experiencing. When you get onto herbs like Jing herbs that are not stimulating in any way. They are regulating and restoring of, especially of the kidney water chi, and what you then experience is the capacity for you to generate your own energy that is in resonance with nature so it's not borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, which is what we do with excessive coffee use. I like intentional coffee use, especially when we're in springtime. I find it's positive, but it's an upward energy yang liver herb. So you do that excessively, especially when you are depleted in yin, depleted in blood.

Mason: (27:36)

A lot of people are depleted in blood. That's one of the things you're going to experience: these Jing herbs, they're blood building. If you are winter and you start getting into some really nourishing foods, start going into warming foods, get your scarf on, keep your socks on always, little slippers on at all times, really protective, insular, internal, little bit of meditation going on, nice warm water in the morning, not hitting yourself with the cold, you experience such a huge, huge inner... It's subtle, sometimes, for some people, but it's just an inner perception that can never get taken away. That's when you're activated. That's when you're activated on the tonic herbal path. It's like, "Ah, I cultivate that energy. I don't get given the energy from external coffee and things like that."

Mason: (28:22)

Even though you logically know that, when you experience yourself cultivating that energy, your relationship to your potential, you start remembering how much potential you do have. Then it can start actually making you go, "Ah, okay. I'm going to put this potential to use." You start engaging a little bit more with challenging aspects of life. That's what happens when the personality of the kidneys starts expressing. When the kidney water's really flowing in relation to the other organs, the personality comes out, which is the [jzur? 00:28:57], which is your will, your willingness...

Mason: (28:59)

Because you have a capacity all of a sudden, you can feel your capacity. You're not speculating, "Can I take this on? Can I not take this on? Do I have the energy to move through this? I don't think I do. Maybe I do." There's no speculating. You're like, "I know my hedges." You start getting smarter about the way you set up your life and your lifestyle rhythm and your flow so that you don't fall into that place where you're on eggshells energy wise, again. So that when some big shit hits the fan in life, you're like, "Yep, I've got this. I've physically got the potential to get through this challenge and integrate it."

Mason: (29:31)

When you're in that zone, you've got capacity. When you've got capacity and you stay within your realm of capacity, in your realm of control, and you don't go worrying about things that are outside of your control, that's when the [jzur? 00:29:42], the personality of the kidney starts really emerging. You start going, "Right, cool. I'm willing to take on more responsibility. Okay. Now, the quality of the responsibility that I want to take on. Yep. Pop it on here. I want some weight on my shoulders." That's Jing cultivating because you put weight on your shoulders, but you know you can cop it. That weight, what does that do? Weight bearing exercise, the number one benefit is just how much it enhances the strength and power and health of your bones. That's what that [jzur? 00:30:17] does. That just sets up your liver wood, that creative visionary aspect of yourself that actually goes and creates the master plan for how to manifest your dream, so on and so forth. Yeah. That's what 30 Days of Jing means to me.

Mason: (30:32)

Make sure you got your Jing, get your jar. A jar's good. Better to get a bag, 250 gramme bag, that way you've got enough. If you want to have two Jings a day, two nice big teaspoons of Jing, you got it there. Have one in the morning and have one in the afternoon and just really feel... Maybe there's enough there to share with friends when people are like, "Gosh, you are rocking it. What do you mean? You're just off coffee? That's crazy. And you're doing it with a way that you're not rejecting coffee and saying coffee's bad, and you're doing all you're meditating, as well. What is this?" It's like, "Here you go. Here's the SuperFeast PDF about the 30 Days of Jing. Here, have a little bit of my Jing, pop that in your tonic in the morning, and come along with me."

Mason: (31:09)

Everyone, I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did. I absolutely love this time of year. I have so many plans for how to get this 30 Days of Jing out there through our community, get it as a staple, get it in your calendars every year. You know it's coming. Just get in those kidney meditations, but all you need to do for that meditation, if you want to add that in there, just go into the stillness. Just that breath... Just go into the darkness, feel.

Mason: (31:40)

This is where that real awareness of your mind... Watch your mind scramble for another thing to do. "Oh, yeah. This is like that meditation practise" or, "This is like..." It's looking for something to grab onto in the light, and you just keep on going down to the darkness and the depths of the kidneys and watch your mind scramble to grab onto something. Then let it go, let it go. You're not able to.

Mason: (32:06)

That's all you need to do in this period, in that winter period; get the kidneys moving. If you're in the Southern hemisphere put a [inaudible 00:32:12]. If you're in the Northern hemisphere, it's not going to hurt for you to come in and have a little bit of practise like this while you're in the heart fire season.

Mason: (32:20)

Thank you all so much for coming along. Go and get your Jing. These Jing herbs are amazing. They are a remedy for so much of what's going wrong in our current lifestyle setup where we are sacrificing, we are borrowing from Peter right now in these days, especially if you're younger, to pay Paul and that's...

Mason: (32:42)

You borrow from Peter, sorry, your future self, to pay Paul, your current self. You want to be thinking about your 50 and 60 year old self. You want to stay in rhythm with nature, with yourself, with your intention. That helps you get towards your destiny. What's your destiny? I don't know what it is, but I get the feeling it's going to feel rad, not when you reach your destiny, but when you start sinking into being in sync with the timeline of your destiny.

Mason: (33:07)

Your destiny you're getting to experience right now, either way. It's how I experience. You just get in rhythm, get into that song and dance. That's how it works, and correlating to the seasons and the nature around you and the world around you and respecting the emotions. Maybe you respect the fact that you've landed here. You're listening to this. If you're on Instagram live, you came across this crazy Aussie dude just ripping in, tearing about the kidney water personality. Maybe lock onto that and be like, "Okay, cool. That's a nice little sign. I'm going to do this 30 Days of Jing."

Mason: (33:40)

If you don't have access to herbs, that's fine. Just anything. Just drop the coffee usage. Just watch it. Get a little meditation going.

Mason: (33:48)

Anyway, so many things to do. Join the Facebook group, guys. It's going to be so interactive there. Make sure you're following along on Instagram, possible that we're going to be sharing lots of resources there, as well. Just in general, have a beautiful time developing a beautiful relationship with your kidneys, getting into an experience of your treasure that is Jing. Remember, you're going to have an experience with that, and you're going to have a relationship with that Jing for a long, long, long, long, long time, so let's make sure it's high quality now.

Mason: (34:17)

Thank you, everybody.
